Ho Ho Ho

How is it possible that Christmas is just around the corner?? But, in fairness, this cold snap is putting us in the zone.

Christmas is a great time of the year for us at the salon, there’s always such a buzz around and everyone is in such good form.

We try our best to get everyone fitted in and often have a waiting list, this year, luckily is no different, especially after a tough year which financially has been very difficult for every small business in Ireland and beyond.

Some years ago, during Christmas week we were let down by several appointments with little or no notice. This made it impossible to fill the time slot, which was particularly frustrating considering we had a waiting list. Put simply, no appointments = no money.

We implemented a deposit scheme for appointments that took 1 hour or more during Christmas week after that. I felt awful asking my clients to secure their appointment like this as I knew 99% of them would never let me down and if they couldn’t make it or if they needed to change the time they would contact us.

Things happen, and people are busy, that’s fine, we get it and will often get a swap done if at all possible. But as my dear old mum used to say, you can’t make fish of one and flesh of the other. So everyone, regardless, was asked for a booking deposit.

With our booking system, the client gets a text message reminder or an email reminder (or both, depending on how they filled out their documents) 24 hours before the scheduled treatment. It’s a good system and gives plenty of time for the person to cancel if something has come up. The system has been upgraded recently to include our cancellation policy.

Naturally, enough things can change within that 24-hour window but we still would appreciate a quick call to cancel, reschedule or just let us know you’re not coming.

It seldom happens that people make appointments and just don’t bother to show up but still, unfortunately, it does happen and we cannot run a business like that, so we will be strictly enforcing the cancellation policy.

*New clients will be asked for a booking deposit of 30% upfront, to secure their first appointment of 1+ hours.

*Any service taking 2+ hours will need a booking deposit to secure.

*Booking fees are not refundable but you can transfer to another appointment if 24 hours cancellation notice is given.

I’m sure you can understand my reasons for making these changes and as always we look forward to seeing you , thank you so much for continuously supporting us
